The Importance of Safe Infant Sleep in South Dakota

Description: To educate foster parents on safe sleep practices for infants in their care, this training will explore the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) safe sleep recommendations and evidence. Safe sleep practices are critical to infant safety, and by connecting recommendations to state data and highlighting the risks of unsafe sleep, this training will continue to create a statewide culture that supports safe sleep practices.

By the end of this session, foster parents will understand the safe sleep recommendations and feel empowered to promote safe sleep in their communities.
